11am GMT on a Tuesday for a UK audience is perfect Alex, it really depends on your demographic.

For Seopher.com I focus on what's happening in the US because the majority of my readers hail from across the pond; whereas if I was catering to a UK audience I'd be ensuring my campaign lands before lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday - so you're right on the money.

Interesting that you raise this point, because I asked myself the same question when I sent my first email newsletter (on my own behalf that is) recently.

I went with 11am GMT on a Tuesday morning - I didn't feel that the campaign was poorly received but I'll definitely keep this post in mind next time.

Hi Jeff,

I'm basing the timezone on the US - that's where my hosting is based and the majority of my readers come from there.

You'll probably find most of your visitors come from the US unless you're writing for a specific localisation (i.e. a blog about Britain, or writing in Japanese etc).

The timezones are whatever California are running on...
