keep it up....n find some more.
But a word of warning - Comodo firewall is real easy to install but virtually impossible to get rid of if you don't want to keep it. I could not uninstall it. I ended up having to reformat and reinstall windows. I'm not alone either, Google "uninstall Comodo" and see what I mean, it's a pain. My vote for best free firewall goes to Online Armor.

I used to love Notepad++, but since I found PSPad (free @ www.pspad.com), I’ve much preferred it -- code completion, built-in FTP... sweet.

And why the emphasys on "financial" payment? Does he know of people who require sexual services for their downloads?
I think it’s a great list. There’s a number of titles on it that I have been using for a while already. Keep it up!

You also should mention that in the "very near future" when KDE 4 is released that will works equally well on Microsoft Windows, KDE programs like Amarok and others can be equally enjoyed by MS Winows users, but without any encombraunce of DRM restriction, poor reliability and security.

The 70 coolest free applications in existence for Windows user
Under linux there is really a lot of cool free stuff not mentioned here at all.
Good point from "Eddie S." I am awaiting Amarok 2 for my Windows box. Since Musicmatch went TU through Yahoo. It is such a disappointment to me for that loss of a good piece of software.

Tech Check ..
http://cooltechcheck.blogspot.com/
1. Even though it’s a KDE application, Amarok runs fine under Ubuntu (which is exactly what I do all the time). However, if you want a native Gnome (GTK) music player, can I recommend that you try Exaile! (which although not as mature or fully featured as Amarok, is still worth looking at).
2. With KDE 4 and Amarok 2 we have the mouth watering prospect of Amarok running under Windows.
I have GPSdrive but cannot figure out how to interface it to my GPS. My linux is Mint Cassandra.
