Can we however, just take a moment to appreciate Katy Perry and that other blonde lass that sang on stage... and for Chad Vader.... .......... *moment*..... thanks.
I'm not sure I 100% agree with your sentiments boo, what Youtube tried to do was actually a really good idea (engaging users in a slightly new way) and they did try their best to make it an engaging experience.

The technology used to make 'the dream come alive' must have been fairly epic, my only complaint with it was that the acts seemed to be somewhat awkward and indicative of the fact that Youtube probably weren't paying anyone for their time.
This was an embarassment from top to bottom, and I can't believe, I truly can't that people were stupid enough to turn to their computers for a live TV experience. It is so counter-intuitive to the way we use youtube, and I dread that it might be indicative of future programming trends.
Just to quality, I wasn't making a racial slur in my conclusion; by 'lowest common denominator' I'm referring to the frothy, camp, worthless acts that constitute a vast majority of Youtube, rather than the more substancial (and importantly, funny) things like Chad Vader. It's not necessarily high brow but it's a little more than Perez Hilton-esque commentary.
I agree in part, Will.i.am and Akon were goddamn awful but I thought where Youtube really failed was in getting the better, more talented people onto that show. Will it blend and chad vader was funny, and surreal to see two famous YT users together - some more of that would have been funnier.

Replace one of the retarded queens with LonelyGirl, where was David Elsewhere, Avril Lavigne, OK GO, Barats and Berretta, History of Dance Man, Brett Domino, Obama? All these people owe a majority of their career to YouTube. John Cleese and the Top Gear boys too, they name-drop youtube constantly.

Great concept, the technology was amazing, shows that youtube are hugely talented, but I think they missed the target of putting on a really good show, and focused a bit much on showing off.

Focus a bit more on the MASSIVELY talented people that YouTube brings into the public domain, rather than the dumb, retarded people that YouTube lends a voice too!

However, well done, Was new, and exciting.

That unicorn thing was retarded and not 'live' same with HTF, they should have done something LIVE......
