I was looking at UMPCs last night and this product really does seem to strike an excellent price/functionality balance.

People are modding them like crazy and there are pretty successful efforts to get OSX running on them (http://eeepc-osx.wikispaces.com/).

I have one and I love it. Amazingly light. Sturdy (basically no moving parts). Fast enough. Easily extended to 1G of memory (which helps a lot). Easily extended to 10G of disk (with an 8G SD card). If the 2G seem too small.

I really take it wherever I go...
