I prefer http://www.keepglobe.com over Blackle. They donate 50% of revenue to a green cause and it is hosted on a server that is powered by wind and sun energy. They also have an image search. Black search engines do not save energy as they claim and also my eyes twitch after seeing that black background.

Yes, there are several things going on with blackle, but people tend to forget that there is more need of user interactivity then the stupid blackle itself.
Now the age is of VIDEOS users are not going to shift from google to blackle just like that. There is a site named http://www.yaarii.com that gives the option to search videos as well as as the regular web search. I think I would bookmark this site , because it gives the option to see any video in the same page without moving your ass!

Its a joke! The site does not even save the energy is suggested. The site preys in the sheepish qualities of the human race to extract a monetary benefit.

The idea is stolen. If the creator had thought of the idea then one could say the idea was borne out of a genuine desire to help the planet. But no, the idea was stolen with the intention of making money! It is this kind of mentality which causes so much destruction in this world.

If the owner where truly altruistic, he would donate the funds to worthy causes.

In addition, he can’t even come up with an original name for the site. He has ripped this off google.
