Seopher.com gets a makeover
So what's new?
Well overheads should be lower because the hundredweight of javascript has been removed (but replaced with a large-ish image). There's a left-hand-side navigation system now and some Google search in the options bar. Those who know me and the site will notice a few things that need some explanation.
Adsense Placement
Following my new found 'Chowism' aspirations (to have a site comparable to that of Mr. John Chow) I've almost gone back on my article on adsense placement because now the adsense for the articles is now in a primary position - albeit slightly invasive.
The reason for this is because I'm now looking for an increased return on my efforts - because since April Seopher.com has only brought me $80 in adsense, $30 in ReviewMe revenue and a charitable $200 donation from someone supporting the cause. While this is Ok I?m looking to recoup more than just my hosting costs.Multi-language support
Or at least a close approximation of - at the top of the page you can see support for a few select languages in an attempt to increase the reach the site has - or at least the usability. This hasn't been tried within my small network of associates so it will be an interesting experiment at the very least to see if things to improve.
There's not a lot else functionally new at the moment, there are a couple of things I'm looking at doing but those can be rolled out at a later point.
There will be a few things that are borked I'm sure (the image widths on the older articles are one I'm aware of - they look a little "funky" but don't break the flow). If there's anything utterly farked please let me know and I'll sort it pronto! Hope you like the new design - Seopher.
