Place a hold on your payments from US companies because of the exchange rate
With the dollar so weak against the pound it means that if I have $100 earned through Adsense, Google will send me a cheque based on the exchange rate of the day it was processed - which if it is anytime soon, will be ?1 = $2. This would mean that while I would expect around ?65 under a normal exchange rate, the weak dollar means that I'd be receiving ~?50. Which is quite a drop.
Every little counts and no doubt the market will gain a sense of stability sometime soon but as far as I'm concerned, I can wait for my money from Google. An exchange this weak means that I'd be getting less for my hard work. Not that a passive income like advertising is hard work but you get the point.
On the other hand
If you're tempted to buy iPods from the US, ship them to the UK and sell them for profit on the grounds of the exchange, then now might be the time to do so.
Just thought I'd make mention - because the damage done on $100 is almost negligable. Imagine if you've got $500 of adsense pending. $1000? More? I think it's worthwhile waiting this situation out.
