Make money online with job referrals
Let me introduce you to Zubka.com - an online job agency who are trying to get you to do their legwork but will pay sexy sums of money for a completed transaction. Let me explain how it works and how you get paid.
How it works
Employers need people to do their job but where do they find the right person? Typically job agencies have a database of contacts (people who once upon a time registered an interest in finding a job with the agency) and they try to push their candidates forwards for the position. Agencies make money by taking some of the salary - simple. However, with Zubka you are the agency, pushing forwards friends and family for the position.

How do you make money?
Well, if the employer likes the person you put forward and your friend likes the job, then the person gets hired. In the event of someone getting hired then you get paid. Most jobs pay over ?1,000 ($2000) with the higher paid IT positions you're looking at a payday of around ?2,500 ($5,000) and that's not to be laughed at!
In addition, if you refer someone who then signs up for Zubka as another referer, then you receive 5% of their referal money for life. So if you refer your mate Dave, who then refers his brother John to an IT position that pays out ?2,000, you get 5% of that ?2,000 payout. Not too shabby as a second tier income model is it?
Zubka isn't quite set out for online-monsters though
Ideally I was looking for a system that has a Text-Link-Ads style widget or a plugin-ready jobs-board that you can integrate into your site. Not so. All referals are done manually which means you need to actually *know* the person. You refer the person very specifically and that's not quite ideal for me.
They need to affiliate things up a bit
The scheme would work really well as a normal affiliate programme; affiliate ID's attached to the URL and 30-day cookies. The person who clicks through is interested in the job; if they apply and get hired then you get paid. That would be the ideal model for maximum distribution across the Internet. You'd have countless blogs with job listings - by extension you'd get more people applying for more jobs.
Zubka could actually lower the payouts that way because $2000 for a referal is crazy. They could drop that to be a few hundred dollars (maybe $500-$1000) and still have a massive following across the Internet.
All in all it's a brilliant idea IF you have the time and the network of contacts to support it. Otherwise you'll be referring your siblings and collegues in the small hope that they'll be employed and you can buy a new car. If they incorporated another tier into the model allowing people to post the jobs on their blogs/sites with affiliate ID's included, things could really heat up. But as it stands, it's a great idea already.
