January 2007 site conclusions

On January 19th I modified the site to enhance search engine relevancy and the benefits were obvious. The site has gone from around 500 Google visitors a week to around 1,200. The site has moved from PR0 to PR2 and now shunted to PR3 so Google is pushing some decent traffic in this direction.

January was a good month, bringing in over 31,000 unique visitors and serving just a hair under 120,000 pages. Revenue was up, traffic was comfortable if nothing astonishing - and yet no one has bought advertising on the site.

February should be another big month, I've got a couple of experiments in mind for when I find time and until then I'll continue writing.
