Improving Search Engine traffic - update

Little over a week ago I wrote a post outlining how I had improved my search engine traffic by 36% and this is an update to that post, because things have continued to improve.

Amazing metrics
Search engine traffic from Google alone has increased massively, from 380 visitors a week to around 1,300. This is a massive increase within the past few weeks and let me attempt to highlight reasons why.

Moving the title tags around
This seems to be the biggest reason why traffic has increased because the title for articles is now presented "ArticleTitle - Seopher.com" rather than the other way around. This means that the search terms are at the start of the title and increasing search engine relevancy - I cannot recommend this change enough.

PageRank movement
Seopher.com moved from a PR2 to a PR3 within the past couple of weeks and while this will have helped, I'm not certain whether it's making the difference.

Conclusion
Apologies for the length of this post but it dawned on me while prodding my Google Analytics that search engine traffic has continued to increase to a nice, comfortable level. So please, read my original article and hopefully you too will have more fortune with Google.

This actually does work, I’ve seen it on a few other blogs - it does give you improved search engine visibility.
