Command and Conquer 3 Announced
Returned is Kane and his NOD kiddies to take on the GDI in the return of the popular command and conquer games. Early images (see PCGAMER for those) look fantastic with early renders of the Mammoth tank looking especially sexy. Details for the game are sketchy but it does look to be a game worth looking forward to. Named ''The Tiberium Wars'' it looks to be the full 3d encarnation of Tiberium Sun... Hopefully C&C3 will be less of political statement than Generals which was (in this author''s opinion) bad in so many ways. When you zoomed in the level of detail was playstation worthy, which was not ideal. However, these graphical crimes appear to be repented (and then some) for Tiberium Wars.
This is a game this author will watch with a certain level of interest, as, like many, I spent many a day on the original C&C and Red Alert as a child and if Westwood can capture the essence of the first game but put it into a sensual 3D environment, it could be the best RTS ever. Time will tell on this one.
