ARGH! The horrors that are in your keyboard

While at University I ate at my desk, I worked at my desk and occasionally slept at my desk. I did a lot of work there and equal amounts of procrastination. While browsing through "My Pictures" earlier I found a photo that I had tried hard to repress...

The problem with eating at your desk is that your keyboard is normally somewhere near your food. While many will tell you this is a massive no-no with regards to hygene the real horrors are all the crumbs that fall into your beloved input device that really tell the full story.

So, what do you suppose happens when you take all the keys off a keyboard that you've snacked over for a good 4 years? Here is the picture...

So kids, please, if you eat at your keyboard either replace it every year or clean it out at regular intervals. Needless to say it wasn't a pleasant experience cleaning out my trusty old crumb catcher - I just thought it'd be fun for the whole world to see my ex-keyboard. Yummy!

Hairs are my problem... They get tangled around everything in mine and it’s highly upsetting because replacing this keyboard is a £70 operation.

Better to spend a few hours with all the keys out and give the whole thing a welcome clean-up.
