I'll keep it short and sweet - the winner is a Mr. John Swanson. I did the draw a week or two ago and dropped John an email to check whether he was active or not and I was doubting whether the email he used for the competition was one he actually checked. It turns out he didn't check it terribly often and it took more than a week to get a response - rude John, just rude.
Anyway, he's won! He's also a self proclaimed "silent" reader - one of those 99% majority who read sites but never comment so I didn't recognise the name. Obviously I can't post his email on the site but the payment has been sent and the competition is now over.
Thanks for taking part and sorry you didn't win (unless John is reading this - in which case: congratulations). When asked what he was going to do with the money John replied "Don't know, probably beer" so at least we can all take solace in John's decreasing sobriety.
