About the downtime

My loving hosts Dreamhost had to cut all power to their building for 5 hours this morning for safety reasons. Awesome, no? This meant that my site was not accessible 8am ->ENTER TIME HERE. If I was running a web-based business and relied on weekend browsers to place orders than I would be rather frustrated.

As it stands I'm frustrated because there are updates I'd like to make to the site that I'm unable to do, let alone the lost ad revenue and potential first-time-visitors who could have found their way to the site only to find it down and never revisit.

Issues
There was another newsletter broadcast today which was slightly strange seeing as I hadn't scheduled one - I'll look into that shortly. RSS subscribers are down and my statistics weren't updated because the server was down. As far as you (the user) are concerned it's all Ok now but I'm rather frustrated with Dreamhost for having a company-wide 6 hour outage.

Anyway, apologies if you tried to get onto the site and found it was unavailable - it wasn't my fault.
